1. Makeup Free Selfie
It is important that I see what your skin really looks like. I know it is hard to send someone a selfie without makeup! Your selfie is safe with me! Plus if I can't see your face without any makeup then I won't be able to get the perfect color for you! Getting the perfect color is the key to quick and easy makeup.
2. Natural Light
Natural light is really important! Indirect sunlight from a window is the perfect lighting. NO EXCEPTIONS! The vanity lights in your bathroom won't do it (especially if your bathroom walls are painted blue like mine). Standing under a tree won't do it! Please follow the directions on the picture below.
3. Taking the Selfie
Did you take a look at the pictures above? Stand about 30" away from a window with indirect sunlight coming through. Face the window, wearing no makeup. This filtered sunlight gives me a great idea of what your natural skin color is.
4. Your beautiful face
Look straight at the camera, don't try and give me your best side. No duck lips or side swept bangs. Make sure all of your forehead is in the shot and I can see your neck. All this gives me the perfect selfie to color match you!
