I have always hated to buy eyeshadow in palates either the little four eyeshadow palate from the drugstore or the big gorgeous palates from Alta or Sephora. I end up with one favorite and the rest are still full when I run out of my favorite. It seems like a waste of product and a waste of money to replace eyeshadows that you still have a bunch of. So I started spending more and buying individual shadows from MAC or Urban Decay because I didn’t like the waste. Then I met Masckara and I wondered why nobody had thought about a fill-your-own eyeshadow palate before! I mean come on, it makes so much sense!

Seriously why did I not think of this?? Plus my budget friendly side is happy, I get more of my favorite eyeshadow for less money.
Add whatever colors you want to a compact, switch them out if you want a change, only replace what you need when you need it. I love building palates, I love seeing what colors complement each other and complement beautiful eye colors. I still love to browse palates in Alta and Sephora to get ideas and seasonal looks, but I don’t have to commit to colors I know I wont use.
So for fall I have been using a simple 4 color palate, I can create dramatic looks or simple looks with and I love it so I thought I would share! Here are two different looks with the same four colors. You can get a palate with these colors here! Add colors subtract or make your own compact.
Look One
This first look is subtle, soft warm brown in the crease and a bit of shimmer.
Look Two
The second look is a bit more dramatic, a smokey brown eye is gorgeous with a hint of gold and white shimmer! See me create it in the video below.
